Chasca in Genshin Impact is a new Anemo character from the FlowerFeather Clan of Natlan. She's a 5-star unit that uses a Bow. Chasca's kit is pretty complicated to explain but she essentially relies on her enhanced attacks after entering the Nightsoul's Blessing state and the damage dealt is considered Charged Attack DMG. Thus, it's safe to say she's a Charged Attack, so one should build her accordingly.
Genshin Impact Chasca build guide: Best artifacts, weapons, and teams
Best artifacts for Chasca
1) Obsidian Codex
Obsidian Codex is the best artifact for Chasca in Genshin Impact. A complete 4-pc set not only increases the DMG dealt by the character but also provides a huge CRIT Rate bonus.
You can prioritize the following stats while farming the Obsidian Codex set:
Sands | ATK% or Energy Recharge |
Goblet | ATK% |
Circlet | CRIT DMG |
Sub-stats | CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery |
Having around 140% to 160% Energy Recharge is ideal since Chasca's Elemental Burst also deals a good amount of damage.
2) Marechaussee Hunter
Marechaussee Hunter is also an excellent choice for Chasca but only when teamed up with Furina. It boosts the character's Charged Attack DMG and provides a good amount of CRIT Rate.
You can focus on similar artifact stats on Marechaussee Hunter as the previous set.
Sands | ATK% or Energy Recharge |
Goblet | ATK% |
Circlet | CRIT DMG |
Sub-stats | CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery |
3) Viridescent Venerer
Viridescent Venerer is also a good option for Chasca when paired with strong sub-DPS units. While it will reduce her overall damage output compared to Obsidian Codex, it will shred the enemies' Elemental REs and increase the damage of the off-field DPS units in her team.
Sands | ATK% |
Goblet | ATK% |
Circlet | CRIT Rate or DMG |
Sub-stats | CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery |
Best Weapons for Chasca in Genshin Impact
- Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage (Signature)
- Aqua Simulacra
- Range Gauge (Best 4-star)
- Scion of the Blazing Sun
- Song of Stillness (Best F2P)
- Chain Breaker
Chasca’s signature weapon, Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage, is also her best-in-slot weapon. This weapon has a 66% bonus Crit Damage and 608 Attack.
The weapon effect increases the character’s attack by 24% after triggering a Swirl reaction. Plus, when half and more characters in the party are of a different Elemental Type, increases the damage dealt by Charged attacks from the wearer by 20%/48% and Elemental Burst damage by 10%/24%.
For her other weapon options, Aqua Simulacra is her best 5-star alternative. Other than that, you can also use the 4-star bows — Range Gauge and Scion of the Blazing Sun. For her F2P options, you can use the craftable bows — Song of Stillness and Chain Breaker.
Chasca ascension materials – Genshin Impact
You’ll want to quickly raise Chasca’s level when you finally pull her, which means that you’ll need to farm her ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade her talents.
Here’s what you need to get Chasca to level 90:
- Vayuda Turquoise Sliver x1
- Vayuda Turquoise Fragment x9
- Vayuda Turquoise Chunk x9
- Vayuda Turquoise Gemstone x6
- Juvenile Fang x18
- Seasoned Fang x30
- Tyrant’s Fang x36
- Withering Purpurbloom x168
- Ensnaring Gaze x46
- Mora x2,092,530
Vayuda Turquoise can be obtained from any Anemo-affiliated boss on the world map. Ensnaring Gaze is dropped by the Tenebrous Papilla, which may also drop Vayuda Turquoise, though that’s dependent on the form it takes on during combat, making it an unreliable source for the gems.
Fangs can be gained from defeating the saurians you encounter in Natlan. To find the Withering Purpurbloom you’ll need to explore the ruins of Ochkanatlan. The best way to earn more Mora in the game is to farm golden Ley Line Blossoms.
Here’s what you need to upgrade all of Chasca’s talents to their maximum level:
- Juvenile Fang x18
- Seasoned Fang x66
- Tyrant’s Fang x93
- Teachings of Conflict x9
- Guide to Conflict x63
- Philosophies of Conflict x114
- Silken Feather x18
- Crown of Insight x3
- Mora x4,957,500
For the materials already mentioned, see above. You’ll need to visit the Blazing Ruins Domain on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday to farm Scrolls of Conflict. Silken Feather is available from the weekly boss fight with Arlecchino.
Crowns of Insight are a rare item gained from time-limited events or regional reward mechanics like the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma, Tree of Dreams in Sumeru, Fountain of Lucine in Fontaine, and the Tablet of Tona in Natlan.
4 best Chasca team comps in Genshin Impact
1. Chasca + Layla + Shenhe + Bennett
Pairing Layla and Shenhe in Chasca’s team triggers the Cryo Resonance, which gives the team an extra 15% Crit Rate against enemies affected by Cryo. This creates a chance to stack more Crit DMG on Chasca since she also gets a 40% Crit Rate from her Artifact set. When Chasca is paired with Cryo, Pyro, Hydro, and Electro units, she will load four shots of her gun with these elements when you use her Charge ATK during her Elemental Skill state.
Having two Cryo units in Genshin Impact alongside Bennett helps Chasca trigger more Melt DMG with her Elemental Skill. Whether it’s a Melt or a Reverse Melt depends on Chasca’s RNG when loading her weapon, although that’s not important as long as Chasca is triggering those Melt reactions. What’s important is setting up Chasca with three Supports who will buff her DPS, since Layla, Shenhe, and Bennett, all have buffs in their kit other than their other Supportive utilities.
Team Role
- Chasca: Main DPS
- Layla: Support, shielder, buffer (C4 and Tenacity of the Millelith)
- Shenhe: Support, buffer, debuffer
- Bennett: Support, buffer, healer
2. Chasca + Shenhe + Furina + Bennett
Having Chasca teaming with Shenhe, Furina, and Bennett gives her a trio of the best Supports in Genshin Impact. Shenhe greatly increases her Cryo DMG as she shreds enemies’ resistance to Cryo and gives Chasca 15% extra Charged ATK DMG. On the other hand, Furina is one of the best buffers in Genshin Impact because of her Elemental Burst, which will give Chasca an insane amount of extra DMG. Moreover, Furina is a decent Sub-DPS with her Hydro summons that can deal some good off-field DMG. Finally, Bennett is always going to be an amazing buffer because of his raw ATK buff that takes Chasca’s DMG to the next level.
With all these buffs and Chasca’s ability to hit all three elements from her gun, she will be an unstoppable force that creates chaos based on the RNG of her shots. Chasca will either Freeze, Melt, or Vaporize enemies, or maybe do all three on every Charged ATK.
Team Role
- Chasca: Main DPS
- Shenhe: Support, buffer, debuffer
- Furina: Sub-DPS, buffer, healer
- Bennett: Support, buffer, healer
3. Chasca + Xiangling + Furina + Bennett
Xiangling is a character who has existed since the game's release. Yet, she’s still one of the best Pyro units in Genshin Impact. She’s not only a good Sub-DPS, but can also buff Chasca’s Pyro DMG, reduce enemies' Pyro resistance, and grant Chasca a small ATK% buff from Guoba.
With Xiangling and Furina constantly applying their elements alongside Chasca’s elemental bullets, the team will keep triggering Vaporize reactions with high numbers, especially because of Bennett and Furina’s buffs. Not to mention, having two Pyro units in the team will increase everyone’s ATK by 25%.
Team Role
- Chasca: Main DPS
- Xiangling: Sub-DPS, buffer, debuffer
- Furina: Sub-DPS, buffer, healer
- Bennett: Support, buffer, healer
4. Chasca + Sara + Ororon + Furina
Taking advantage of Melt and Vaporize can be fun, but Chasca can still operate outside these reactions. Giving the team of Chasca, Furina, and Ororon will allow them to trigger many Electro-Charged reactions with their off-field DPS.
As for Sara, she’s there to trigger the Electro Resonance and help the team regenerate their Elemental Burst faster with her Elemental Skill. Kujou Sara is also an amazing Support who specializes in buffing ATK and maximizing the Electro DMG of a unit in her team, which is Chasca in this case.
Team Role
- Chasca: Main DPS
- Sara: Support, buffer, battery
- Ororon: Sub-DPS, battery
- Furina: Sub-DPS, buffer, healer
