Genshin Impact 4.7 Clorinde Build Guide: Kit Rotation, Weapons, Artifacts, and Team Comps

Clorinde is a 5-star Electro character appearing in Genshin Impact 4.7 and her kit appears extremely strong. She is going to be a main DPS wielding a Sword (with a gun) and her kit is focused on Bond of Life, similar to Arlecchino. It is getting clear that Bond of Life is going to be the new meta mechanic going into Natlan, and most new characters releasing in new versions will use that mechanic. If you are interested in Clorinde, here is everything we know of her kit and her best build.

Clorinde is an on-field Electro DPS focused on maximizing her damage through her Normal Attacks, while also strangely not needing to level her Normal Attack talent at all. This is because her Normal Attacks are strengthened through her Skill, and the Skill talent level replaces the Normal Attack damage multipliers. She is a mobile and smooth character to play that also implements the Bond of Life mechanic, which is basically “healing debt” that goes down when she gets healed instead of healing her HP.

She is best used with Dendro and Hydro characters, allowing her to take advantage of Aggravate (Quicken) and incidental Hyperbloom reactions. In terms of ludonarrative resonance, she also synergizes quite well with Furina, who she guards during the majority of the Fontaine Archon quests.

While her damage ceiling is not as high as another Bond of Life user like Arlecchino, Clorinde makes up for this in her flexibility. Arlecchino, for example, heavily depends on Bennett’s Burst circle and attacking only within that circle. Clorinde can freely move about the battlefield while synergizing with other off-field DPS units. Keep in mind that because of this tendency to deal less damage, she may want to be spoiled with her signature weapon or other suitable 5-star weapon.

Fortunately, Clorinde does not require you to build Energy Recharge. While her Burst is flashy and provides decent damage, the amount of CRIT, EM, or ATK stats you’d have to take away in favor of Energy Recharge is usually not worth it. This also means that Clorinde really only needs to focus on levelling one talent for bare minimum performance.

Clorinde Kit and Best Rotation

Clorinde will have a hyper-carry-focused kit, emphasizing her enhanced Normal attacks and Skill. Like Arlecchino, Clorinde’s kit also revolves around Bond of Life. After using her Skill, she enters the Night Watch State, which changes her Normal Attacks into electro-infused attacks and also changes her Skill into a lunging attack with various Bond of Life modifiers.

She can gain Bond of Life through various means, one being her enhanced Normal Attacks up to 100% Bond of Life and another being her Elemental Burst. Other than that, a percentage of healing given to her during the Night Watch state is converted into Bond of Life. Depending on the percentage of her Bond of Life, she has increased Crit Rate, Crit Damage, Damage dealt, and healing. Let’s take a look at her kit:

• Clorinde scales on Attack and her Bond of Life gain through normal attacks is based on her Max HP.
• Her Skill puts her into the Night Watch state, electro-fusing her Normal attacks and converting her Skill into a Lunge attack.
• Clorinde’s enhanced Normal attacks make her obtain Bond of Life up to 100% of her Max HP.
• Her Skill deals big AoE electro damage and heals Clorinde, based on the Bond of Life cleared.
• Her Elemental Burst grants her Bond of Life and deals AoE electro damage.
• Clorinde converts a percentage of healing received into a Bond of Life.
• Clorinde’s second passive increases her damage dealt based on her attack when a nearby ally triggers an electro reaction, and this can stack up to 3 times.
• Her third passive further enhances her enhanced skill effect when she has more than 100% Bond of Life and her Bond of Life is still increasing or decreasing.
• Clorinde can mark nearby resources unique to Fontaine on the mini-map.

For Clorinde’s cycle rotation use her Skill to enter the Night Watch state and continue using her Normal attacks to deal damage and build Bond of Life to 100%. Once her Bond of Life hits 100%, use her Elemental Burst to gain more Bond of Life, and then use her Enhanced Skill to deal massive AoE damage and clear the Bond of Life, healing her in the process.

Clorinde Best Artifacts

Clorinde’s best build will feature the 4-piece Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy artifact set. This artifact set gives her an 18% Attack increase and another 18% damage increase for 6 seconds (max 3 stacks) when her Bond of Life increases or decreases.

Other than that, the 4-piece Thundering Fury set is also perfect for Clorinde, especially if you are using a Bloom team. It increases damage from Bloom, Electro-charged, Overloaded, and Superconduct reactions, decreases her Skill Cool Down, and gives Clorinde a straight 15% Electro damage bonus.

Clorinde Main and Sub-Stats Priority

When it comes to her main and sub-stats priority, focus on stacking her Crit Damage, Crit Rate, and Attack % to increase her damage further. Also, try to hit 140% – 150% Energy. A normal Main DPS build should work perfectly for her. Clorinde doesn’t scale with EM, so adding EM to her stats would not have much benefit.

Genshin Impact Clorinde Talents

• Oath of Hunting Shadows (Normal Attack): Clorinde performs up to 5 rapid strikes. Her charged attack allows to nimbly dash forward and slash using her pistolet to fire Suppressing Shots in a fan pattern. Clorinde’s plunging attack plunges from mid-air to strike the ground, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE electro damage upon impact.
• Hunter’s Vigil (Skill): Enters the Night Vigil state, turning her Normal Attacks into Swift Hunt pistolet attacks, whose damage is converted into Electro damage and cannot be overridden by infusions. Her Elemental skill is transformed into Impale the Night, making her perform lunging attacks dealing Electro damage. This damage is considered Normal Attack Damage.
• Swift Hunt (Enhanced Normal Attack): When Clorinde’s Bond of Life is equal to or greater than 100% of her Max HP, she performs a standard pistolet shot. When her Bond of Life is less than 100%, she obtains Bond of Life by firing her pistolet, and the amount gained is based on her max HP. The shots she fires this way pierces opponents and damage dealt to opponents in the path is increased.
• Impale the Night (Enhanced Skill): Clears her Bond of Life and enhances the Impale the Night damage based on the percentage of the Bond of Life cleared of her max HP. Additionally, when she is in the Night Vigil state, healing effects other than Impale the Night will not take effect and instead, a percentage of the healing will be converted into Bond of Life.
  – No Bond of Life cleared: Performs a normal lunging strike.
  – Less than 100% Bond of Life cleared: AoE and damage dealt of the Lunging Strike is increased and heals Clorinde based on the Bond of Life cleared.
  – More or equal to 100% Bond of Life cleared: She uses Impale the Night: Pact, further increasing the AoE, distance covered, and damage dealt by the Lunging strike, also healing Clorinde with increased modifiers.
  – Arkhe: Ousia: When Clorinde’s pistolet shots strike opponents, a Surging Blade falls on their position dealing Ousia-aligned Electro damage periodically.
• Last Lightfall (Elemental Burst): Grants herself a Bond of Life, based upon her max HP before swiftly evading and striking with saber and sidearm as one, dealing AoE Electro DMG.

Genshin Impact Clorinde Passives

• Night Vigil’s Harvest: Marks location of nearby resources unique to Fontaine on the mini-map.
• Dark-Shattering Flame: Electro Damage dealt by her Normal Attacks and Last Lightfall increases by 20% of Clorinde’s attack for 15 seconds after a nearby party member triggers an Electro-related reaction against an opponent. This can stack up to 3 times, each stack counted independently and a maximum of 1,800 damage can be achieved from such attacks.
• Lawful Remuneration: Clorinde’s Crit Rate increases by 10% for 15 seconds whenever she has equal to or greater than 100% Bond of Life and the value increases or decreases (max 2 stacks, each counted independently). Additionally, Hunt the Dark’s Night Watch state is buffed: While it is active, the percent of healing converted to Bond of Life increases to 100%.

Best Weapons for Clorinde

Clorinde’s signature weapon, Absolution, is also her best weapon. This weapon is rumored to provide a 20% Crit Damage bonus and an additional 12% Damage dealt bonus (max 3 stacks) when the wielder has Bond of Life, lasting for 6 seconds. These are subject to change in the near future, and we will update this section accordingly.

Clorinde Constellations

• From This Day, I Pass the Candle’s Shadow-Veil (C1): When the Night Vigil state is active and Clorinde’s Normal attacks with Electro damage hit opponents, they will trigger 2 coordinated attacks from a Nightvigil Shade summoned near the hit opponent. This effect can trigger every 1 second and this damage is considered as Normal Attack Damage.
• Now, As We Face the Perils of the Long Night (C2): Dark-Shattering Flame Passive is buffed. After a nearby party member triggers an Electro-related reaction against an opponent, Electro DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Last Lightfall increases by 30% of Clorinde’s ATK for 15 seconds (max 3 stacks). When Clorinde has 3 stacks, her interruption resistance is increased. The Maximum DMG increase achievable through such attacks is 2,700.
• I Pledge to Remember the Oath of Daylight (C3): Skill level + 3 up to level 15 max.
• To Enshrine Tears, Life and Love (C4): Damage dealt from Last Lightfall burst is increased based Clorinde’s Bond of Life percentage. Every 1% of Bond of Life increases the Burst’s damage by 2%, up to a maximum of 200%.
• Holding Dawn’s Coming as My Votive (C5): Burst level + 3 up to level 15 max.
• And So Shall I Never Despair (C6): Clorinde’s CRIT Rate is increased by 10% and her CRIT DMG by 70% for 12 seconds after Hunt the Dark is used. Additionally, while Night Watch is active, a Glimbright Shade will appear under specific circumstances, decreasing DMG dealt to Clorinde by 80% for 1 second and increasing her interruption resistance. It will also attack opponents, dealing 200% of Clorinde’s ATK as Electro DMG. DMG dealt this way is considered Normal Attack DMG. The Glimbright Shade will appear under the following circumstances:
  – When Clorinde is about to be attacked by an opponent.
  – When Clorinde uses Impale the Night: Pact.
  One Glimbright Shade can be summoned in the aforementioned ways every Xs. 6 Shades can be summoned per single Night Watch duration.

Genshin Clorinde's Best Teams

1. Clorinde + Furina + Nahida + Baizhu

This Clorinde team comp in Genshin Impact is easily the best option thanks to Furina. Furina is a buffer whose buff becomes stronger when the team loses and gains HP, perfect for characters that have massive self-healing, like Neuvillette and Clorinde.

Clorinde also has an effect where she can’t be healed apart from her own ability. Instead, the healing she gets is converted into Bond of Life, giving herself more room to deal a lot of damage.

This means that having healers in her team is not a waste, allowing Baizhu to come in to do multiple jobs for the team. Baizhu can heal, shield, and buff Dendro-related reactions, allowing the team to deal higher DPS while also providing interruption resistance for Clorinde through his shield.

However, despite his many utilities, Baizhu can be replaced by other sub-DPS such as Xingqiu, Fischl, or even Dendro Traveler.

• Nahida : Sub-DPS, buffer
• Baizhu : Buffer, healer

2. Clorinde + Kazuha + Nahida + Baizhu

If players wish to play without Hyperbloom or simply don’t own Furina in Genshin Impact, then they can make a Clorinde team composition that solely revolves around Quicken, Aggravate, and Spread. For this, an Anemo character that can reduce the enemy’s Electro RES like Kazuha is important.

Like the first team, Baizhu is replaceable by other sub-DPS like Fischl and Yae Miko, or a support like Yaoyao or Kujou Sara. Yaoyao is obviously only an option if Baizhu isn’t available, while C6 Kujou Sara is a great buffer for Electro DPS in Genshin Impact such as Raiden Shogun or Clorinde.

• Nahida : Sub-DPS, buffer
• Baizhu : Buffer, healer

3. Clorinde + Furina + Xingqiu + Kazuha

Apart from Quicken and Hyperbloom, a viable but less effective option is an Electro-Charged team. Unlike the other two Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact, Electro-Charged has a unique effect where the debuff will stay on the enemy as long as they have both Hydro and Electro aura. This means as long as players can keep reapplying it, then the enemy can stay Electro-Charged for eternity.

Sadly, Electro-Charged is not the best option in a single-target battle. This Elemental Reaction works best when there are many enemies that can link to each other.

If players choose to utilize this Clorinde team comp, they’ll want to bring Furina and either Xingqiu or Yelan. For the last slot, Kazuha is the best option, but Travelers can also opt for Sucrose, Jean, Sayu, or Fischl.

4. Clorinde + Chevreuse + Beidou + Xiangling

Another team that has a niche for AoE damage is an Overloaded team in Genshin Impact. If players are looking to maximize Clorinde, then it’s best to ignore this team, but Travelers who just want to have fun can definitely consider it.

Chevreuse restricts her team to only consisting of Pyro and Electro characters, similar to Nilou who demands only Hydro and Dendro. Fortunately, this restriction doesn’t hurt too much as Chevruse is equipped with the ability to reduce the enemy’s Pyro and Electro RES, replacing the need for an Anemo shredder.

Clorinde’s prominent Electro hits allow her to be effective at applying Electro, but this can be further enhanced by units such as Beidou and Fischl. Players can also place Bennett in the team to pair with Xiangling, which allows the Liyue Chef to snapshot her Elemental Burst. Clorinde can benefit greatly from Bennett’s ATK buff, but this means Travelers are stuck on Bennett’s AoE and can’t have fun with Clorinde’s mobility.
